The best AI tools for financial advisors in 2026

·Updated ·Caleb Wallace, Founder of PREZENTD

The best AI tools for financial advisors in 2026 are organized by job. For meeting notes and CRM updates: Zocks, Jump, or Zeplyn. For a firm-wide AI platform: Hazel. For tax and planning analysis: Holistiplan, FP Alpha, and Income Lab. For risk and investment proposals: Nitrogen, VRGL, and CapIntel. For branded client deliverables built from meetings: PREZENTD. For general drafting: ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot. Most RIAs need one tool per job, not one tool for everything.

A disclosure: PREZENTD is our product, and it appears in one category below. We wrote this guide because advisors ask us what to pair PREZENTD with, and the honest answer involves other companies. Every vendor fact was checked on the vendor's own website in October 2026; sources are listed at the end. If you only need the client-deliverables part of the stack, our narrower roundup, The best tools for advisor client deliverables in 2026, goes deeper on that one job.

How we chose

We included tools that RIAs can buy this quarter, that are built for advisors or widely used by them, and that publish enough about themselves to describe accurately. We excluded tools that only exist as part of a broker-dealer or custodian contract. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and tools are not ranked within a category.

1. Meeting notes and follow-up

AI notetakers were the first advisor AI category to reach wide adoption, and they remain the easiest win: they join or record the meeting, write the notes, draft the follow-up email, and push updates to the CRM.

Zocks

Zocks is an AI assistant for financial advisors that handles meeting notes, meeting prep, CRM updates, and client follow-up.

  • Pricing: Essentials $80, Professional $140, and Ultimate $220 per user per month billed monthly ($67, $117, and $184 billed annually). Enterprise is on request.
  • Integrations listed include Salesforce, Redtail, Wealthbox, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Practifi, and SS&C Black Diamond, plus planning tools such as eMoney and RightCapital.
  • Best for: firms that want notes and CRM entry handled with the broadest published integration list.

Jump

Jump is an AI platform for financial advisors that supports client meetings, client onboarding, and firm growth.

  • Pricing: Meet (the core plan) is $100 per advisor per month. Onboard and Grow are $50 add-ons each. Annual payment saves up to 20%. Enterprise is on request.
  • Integrations: Jump's pricing page cites dozens of integrations with CRMs and financial planning tools.
  • Best for: firms that want meeting notes plus onboarding workflows from one vendor.

Zeplyn

Zeplyn is an agentic AI platform for wealth management firms that captures client meetings, researches clients, flags opportunities, and carries out follow-up work.

  • Pricing: not published. Pricing on request.
  • Integrations named include Salesforce, Wealthbox, Redtail, AdvisorEngine, Practifi, HubSpot, and Tamarac.
  • Best for: firms that want meeting capture to feed broader follow-up automation.

Focal

Focal is an AI assistant that automates advisors' meeting notes, CRM updates, meeting prep, and follow-up emails, and adds performance coaching. Its site references both US and Canadian regulators and offers Canadian data residency.

  • Pricing: not published on its site. A free trial is offered.
  • Best for: Canadian firms, or cross-border firms that need Canadian data residency.

What notetakers do not do: they capture what was said, but the client-facing deliverable that follows, such as the proposal or the plan summary, is still built somewhere else. Our guide How to turn AI meeting notes into a client proposal covers that hand-off step by step.

2. Firm-wide AI platforms

Hazel

Hazel describes itself as the AI platform that lets a firm grow while offering advisory services to clients. It captures meetings, emails, life events, and account updates, drafts recaps and meeting prep, and adds agents for tax and financial planning. Hazel is offered by Altruist, and its site says it works no matter where you custody.

  • Pricing: Hazel Platform is listed at $60 per seat per month, the Tax Planning Agent at $160, and the Financial Planning Agent at $300, each with a 14-day trial.
  • Best for: firms that want one vendor covering meetings, operations, and planning analysis.
  • What to check: how its agents overlap with tools you already pay for, such as your notetaker or tax software. Our comparison PREZENTD vs AI wealth platforms covers how a platform approach differs from adding single-purpose tools.

3. Tax and planning analysis

Holistiplan

Holistiplan reads a client's tax return, models scenarios, and produces client reports, with insurance and estate planning modules.

  • Pricing: billed annually by household count. Basic Tax starts at $749 per year and Premium Tax at $1,499 per year for 30 households. 7-day free trial.
  • Best for: the tax review. It is one of the fastest ways to turn a return into talking points and a client-ready summary.

FP Alpha

FP Alpha is an AI-based platform that combines tax, estate, and insurance planning in one system.

  • Pricing: the All-In-One Planning Solution is $1,995 per year with 55 snapshots. Tax, estate, and insurance modules are also sold separately by credit pack, from $870 per year.
  • Best for: firms that want tax, estate, and insurance analysis in one AI-based system.

Income Lab

Income Lab is retirement distribution software. Its Pro plan includes Penny, which Income Lab calls an AI paraplanner.

  • Pricing: Core is $199 per month, or $1,990 per year billed annually. Pro is $299 per month, or $2,990 per year billed annually. 14-day free trial.
  • Best for: retirement income and distribution planning.

4. Risk and investment proposals

Nitrogen

Nitrogen (formerly Riskalyze) covers risk tolerance, portfolio analytics, and proposals, with AI-powered discovery and insights in its Research and Tax Centers.

  • Pricing: Risk Center $199 per month on an annual term, including the risk questionnaire, statement capture, proposals, and stress tests. Other Centers run $99 to $149 per month; the full bundle is listed at $495 per month.
  • Best for: risk-scored investment proposals.

VRGL

VRGL builds investment proposals from a prospect's statements: it consolidates holdings, runs portfolio analytics, models a tax-aware transition, and generates the proposal.

  • Pricing: on request.
  • Best for: firms whose pitch is an analysis of the portfolio a prospect holds today.

CapIntel

CapIntel helps wealth management firms build client presentations that explain advice. Its platform covers portfolio and fund comparisons, branded presentations, analytics, and a compliance suite for product shelves and disclosures.

  • Pricing: on request.
  • Best for: larger firms and dealers that need proposals governed by a central product shelf. The customer logos on its site are largely Canadian banks and dealers.

5. Client deliverables and presentations

This is the gap most stacks still have. Notes, analysis, and proposal tools each produce their own output, and somebody still assembles the client-facing proposal, review deck, or plan summary by hand.

PREZENTD

PREZENTD is an AI deliverable workspace for advisory firms. Paste a meeting transcript and it writes an internal Meeting Report scored against your firm's sales process, plus a Client Profile with a How to present to this client box. The builder then drafts branded documents and slide decks (proposals, plan summaries, review sheets, prospect presentations) from that context and your Sources. Finished work can be saved as a Reusable Template and reused with Adapt with AI or Duplicate & edit.

  • Pricing: Starter $189, Pro $279, and Team $399 per month for the firm (1, 3, and 10 seats). 7-day free trial; no charge until day 8. Slide decks, PowerPoint download, and client presentation links (which expire after 30 days) are on Pro and Team; PDF is on every plan.
  • Limitations: no meeting recording and no notetaker, CRM, or calendar integrations. You paste or upload the transcript your notetaker produces. It does not calculate, project, or approve content for compliance.
  • Best for: small and mid-sized RIAs that rebuild the same proposals and decks for every client.

Gamma and Beautiful.ai

General AI presentation tools are a reasonable choice for occasional decks. Gamma offers a free plan and paid per-seat plans; Beautiful.ai Pro is $14.50 per month billed annually. Neither knows your firm or client between decks. The deliverables roundup compares them, along with Canva and Prezent.ai, in detail.

6. General AI assistants

ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot

General assistants are the most flexible tools on this list: drafting emails, summarizing research, explaining a strategy in plain English, and checking a first draft. Microsoft 365 Copilot works inside Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, which suits firms already standardized on Microsoft 365.

  • Pricing: ChatGPT and Claude have free tiers. Claude Pro is $20 per month billed monthly, and Claude Team starts at $25 per seat per month billed monthly. OpenAI and Microsoft publish their per-seat business plans on their own pricing pages.
  • What to check: data handling. On consumer tiers of ChatGPT and Claude, conversations can be used for training unless the setting is turned off; business tiers do not train on your data by default. Confirm the terms of the exact plan you use before any client data goes in.
  • Best for: drafting and research, not as the system of record for client work. We compare them directly in PREZENTD vs ChatGPT and PREZENTD vs Claude.

How to build your AI stack

  • Start with the meeting. A notetaker gives you the raw material every other tool needs, and it pays back fastest.
  • Add analysis tools for the questions you answer most: tax (Holistiplan or FP Alpha), retirement income (Income Lab), or risk (Nitrogen).
  • Close the loop with the client-facing output. Decide where proposals and review decks get built so they stop being rebuilt by hand.
  • Keep general assistants for drafting, under a written policy on what client data may go in.
  • Ask every vendor the same three questions: where is data stored, is it used for model training, and how long is it retained.

Fewer tools that each do one job well usually beat a long list of overlapping subscriptions. Before adding a tool, check whether one you already pay for has added the feature.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI tool for financial advisors?

There is no single best tool, because the jobs differ. The most common first purchase is an AI notetaker such as Zocks or Jump, since every advisor has meetings. After that, the best addition depends on where your time goes: tax analysis, proposals, or building client deliverables.

What is the difference between Zocks and Jump?

Both are AI meeting assistants built for advisors that write notes, prep meetings, and update the CRM. Zocks publishes three per-user tiers from $80 per month (billed monthly) and a long integration list. Jump publishes a $100 per advisor per month core plan with Onboard and Grow add-ons at $50 each. Trial both with your own CRM.

Is it safe to use ChatGPT with client information?

It depends on the plan. Consumer tiers can use conversations for model training unless the setting is off, while business and enterprise tiers do not train on your data by default. Many firms restrict client data to tools with written no-training and retention terms, and keep general assistants for non-client work.

Do AI notetakers create client proposals?

Notetakers focus on notes, follow-up emails, and CRM updates. Building the branded client proposal is usually a separate step. PREZENTD is built for that step: you paste the transcript your notetaker produces, and it drafts the proposal or deck on your firm's brand.

Does PREZENTD integrate with Zocks or Jump?

No. PREZENTD has no notetaker, CRM, or calendar integrations. Copy or export the transcript or notes from your notetaker and paste or upload them into PREZENTD. It accepts TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF, VTT, and SRT files for meetings.
